There are two classic events in Kajiki, Aira city. They are The Drum Dance(太鼓踊り) and Spider Fight(くも合戦).

Spider Participation Rules
(1) Each person must have 3 spiders. (The spiders must be female Kogane spiders.)
(2) If a spider wins 3 matches in a row it moves on to the Championship Division.
(3) If a spider loses a match, it is out of the tournsment.
Determining the Winner
(1) Thespider that wraps the opponents rear-end (called "don" in Kajiki) in its white string wings. (Fig.1)
(2) The spider that bites the opponents rear-end (don) wins. (Fig.2)
(3) The spider that cuts off the string of the hanging opponent wins. (Fig.3)
(4) If a spider is not willing to fight the match will end in draw.
+ Due to the quick speed of the spider's movement, the split-second action of the match is judged by the sharp, keen eye of an expert referee.
